Over the last few months we have been diligently reviewing every aspect of Cedega from the technology to the business model and everything in between. Our analysis has already led to a restructure of our internal development process, the expansion of our Beta Team and the hiring of additional Cedega developers, QA and support staff. Our response times to support requests are at their fastest times ever. The expanded Beta Team is helping us track down and resolve bugs and regressions more quickly and we are planning a number of significant releases throughout 2008. Plus, we continue to search for individuals to join the TransGaming team, and we are asking you to play a role if you know qualified candidates. All of this will lead to improved service and an improved gaming product.

So what is ahead for Cedega in 2008?

SPRING: In the next month or so we will be providing a preview release of our next major Cedega version that will give subscribers early access to some of the latest features and improvements, as well as support for some of our most requested games including The Orange Box.

SUMMER: Cedega 6.1 will arrive this summer. Cedega 6.1 will leverage a year of research and development, bringing users additional improvements and even more games.

FALL: This fall we will release Cedega 7.0, a major update of Cedega. We're not ready to reveal the exact details of what you can expect out of Cedega 7.0 but rest assured it will continue to advance the Cedega product and service.

Beta Team Update

Cedega Beta Team badge

For the last two months we have been expanding the Beta Team at a rapid rate and the results have already become apparent to us. Without their help we would not be able to achieve the progress we have. Its not too late for you to help out your fellow gamers by joining up to be a member of the Cedega Beta Team.

In this edition of The Den I discuss some of work arounds that various TransGamer's use and introduce one I started playing with in the last few weeks.

EVE Online Trinity Free 14 Day Trial

On December 5th CCP released the latest upgrade to EVE Online improving almost every aspect of the game. One of the most notable features is a massive task that took a group of talented artists and programmers 50 man-years to produce. You can see the stunning results on the screenshots page, although for the best results you really have to get into the game and fly around in the vastness of beautiful space. However, thats only a small part of what Trinity brings to the table. The real improvements in Trinity are under the hood. New ships, new content, new missions and improvements across the board add more depth and excitement to one of the best online games then ever before. In fact, so many new additions have been made that we don't have the space to tell you about all of them. Head over to the Trinity features page to see the complete list. While the premium graphics won't be ready on Mac and Linux until Q1 of 2008 the rest of the new features are available now.; If you haven't already, download EVE Trinity and join in the online game that everyone is talking about.

Let me explain a bit about our release process, where our focus is and why it's there.
