Cedega is an independent publication about how compatibility layers work — what happens when a program runs on an operating system it was never written for. It is not a software vendor, distributor, or support service, and it does not distribute, licence or recommend any software product.

Entries describe mechanisms, not procedures: the syscall boundary where one system's assumptions meet another's, graphics calls rewritten in flight, paths and cases reconciled on the way to the disk, and where the milliseconds go while all of that happens. Each entry names the boundary being crossed and what it costs — a call translated, a path rewritten, a shader compiled, a frame missed.
